‘The Gin Queen’ Caroline Ashford returns to the Drinks Adventures podcast to share with you her Top 10 Australian Gins of the year.
This year’s honourees once again showcase the creativity of Australian gin distillers, with featured gins including unconventional ingredients such as oyster shells, butter, honey and more.

But first, how many Australian gins would you guess are currently on the market?
In early 2021, Caroline counted 600 of them, not even including limited editions and seasonal releases.
In this gin podcast episode, she reveals her tally of Australian gins available year-round as at January 2022, and it’s a pretty crazy number once again.
Caroline Ashford was the first Australian member to be inducted into The Gin Guild and in 2020 was named Icons of Gin ‘Communicator of the Year’.
She judges gin at competitions including the World Gin Awards, the American Distilling Institute Spirits Competition, the Tasting Australia Spirits Awards and the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards.
