Starward’s soon to be released single malt whisky, Unexpeated, has led a strong showing for the distiller at the World Whisky Masters.
Starward Unexpeated underwent its initial maturation in red wine barrels, before being finished in peated whisky barrels sourced from Islay, Scotland.
It was awarded a Master award by the competition, with all other Starward whiskies achieving the gold standard.
“We were ecstatic to strike gold in every single category that we entered,” commented Starward founder David Vitale.
Launched in 2008, The Global Spirits Masters is judged blind by experts including journalists, retail buyers, bartenders and educators.
Judges can award Silver, Gold and Master medals, as well as additional trophies for outstanding achievements.
