Cape Byron Distillery will debut its first whiskies to the Australian trade with masterclasses in August and September.
The events will be hosted by co-founder Eddie Brook and legendary distiller Jim McEwan – formerly of Islay, Scotland distilleries Bowmore, Bruichladdich and Ardnahoe – who helped create Cape Byron whiskies.
“We’re so excited to finally share Cape Byron Single Malt Whisky with Australian whisky fans and the drinks industry to showcase the range in an intimate setting,” said Brook.
“For Jim to be able to share not only the story of our distilling journey, but his wealth of knowledge, is something unmissable for the bartender community.”
The events will showcase four releases from the distillery including: Cape Byron ‘The Original’ Single Malt Whisky and the limited release ‘Chardonnay Cask’ Single Malt Whisky.
Interested parties should contact their local Brookie’s Gin/Cape Byron sales manager to secure a seat at the events, to be held at the Byron Bay distillery and various locations in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
