Flowstone Wines duo Janice McDonald and Stuart Pym

Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald of Flowstone Wines

Janice McDonald recently joined her partner Stuart Pym at Flowstone Wines, and they’re with us this episode as we hear all about the rekindling of their exciting winemaking partnership.

If you’ve been with me on the show since the beginning you’ll recall a brilliant chat with Janice back in Season One, at which time she at that time was chief winemaker at Howard Park in Margaret River.

Janice and Stuart previously worked together in establishing the quirky Suckfizzle brand and Stella Bella Wines in 1999.

They were both key players in the establishment of Matilda Bay Brewing Co in the late 1980s before taking up winemaking roles at Voyager Estate and Devil’s Lair, respectively.

At Flowstone Wines, their proven partnership will continue to focus on small parcels from vineyards they manage and own.

The lead varieties are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by unexpected and experimental wines including Gewürtztraminer, Touriga and a Shiraz Grenache blend.
