Renowned independent bottler, That Boutique-y Whisky Company, has announced an Australia Series featuring distilleries including Starward, Bakery Hill and Belgrove.
The Australia Series is Boutique-y’s first single country showcase since it shifted to a new quarterly release schedule last year.
Launching globally on April 23, it follows the company’s inaugural World Series and World Rye Series, respectively released in August and November 2020.

Alongside Starward, Bakery Hill and Belgrove, the release also includes bottlings from Black Gate and Riverbourne in NSW; Tasmania’s Killara; and Tin Shed and Fleurieu in South Australia, several of which have not previously been available outside of Australia.
“Take note of these distillery names. It may be the first time you’ve heard some of them, but it will not be the last,” said Sam Simmons, head of whisky at Boutique-y parent company Atom Brands.
“While I think it’s fair to say that most of the world is just waking up to the fact that Australian whisky is on the map at all, I would dare say that these whiskies, and the future of whiskies from down under, may turn the world upside down.”
Killara founder Kristy Lark-Booth said her distillery’s contribution was from one of its first ever decanted 100-litre casks.
“I am really proud of this bottling… and I especially love the label,” she said.
“There has been a huge rise of popularity in Australian whisky both domestically and internationally and it is exciting to be able to showcase this whisky to the world with Boutique-y.”
Sister brand That Boutique-y Rum Company is releasing two rums from Black Gate and Riverbourne to complement the series.
Boutique-y’s Uncorked Whisky Sessions podcast will be releasing an episode in April that
explores the series with James Atkinson of the Drinks Adventures podcast.
The full lineup will be available globally from the 23rd April 2021 through Atom Brands, Maverick Drinks as well as online via Master of Malt, The Whisky Exchange, Hard to Find Whisky and various spirits retailers.
