Bass & Flinders launches Heartbreak Pinot Noir Gin

From Bass & Flinders Distillery on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Heartbreak Pinot Noir Gin is the latest addition to the growing category of wine/gin hybrids.

Just 1000 bottles have been released of the inaugural Heartbreak Pinot Noir Gin, a food-focused spirit that is designed to be enjoyed with food, according to Bass & Flinders head distiller Holly Klintworth.

“Heartbreak Gin has a little more elasticity than a traditional Pinot – one of the perks of the spirit medium,” she says.

“Sweetness can be enhanced with mixers such as Mediterranean Tonic, intensity leveraged through just serving neat on ice, or acidity increased by serving it as a sour.”

With an ABV of 38 per cent, Heartbreak Gin is packaged in a 700ml bottle priced at $88.

It is available online direct from Bass & Flinders or selected Dan Murphy’s stores.
